A blog about the ups, the downs, and wonders of growing as friends, sisters in Christ, and kindred spirits.
Well, I’ve been around the block a few times, if you call years ‘blocks’. And, I don’t know about you, but one thing I have come to terms with is that I have had a lot of ‘unlearning’ to do. I mean, the first few years were learning what I was taught by others on what success means, and what it means to love, and what it means to be a part of this old world. The second half of my life has been testing those learned ‘theories’ and deciding if I need to keep them or change them. God has been helping me with a lot of tweaking for quite some time.
Therefore, I believe what my grandma taught me – ‘You learn something new everyday’. Even though Solomon once said, “There is nothing new under the sun”, I think I see some of those ‘same old-same olds’ a little differently than I used to. It’s taken time and tears for many of my life’s lessons. And, I think once you learn something, it would be the kind thing to share it with others.
That’s why I write.
Not to hear myself talk, and not to impress you.
But, maybe I can share something that would help you on your walk. That’s all. And, besides, it’s nice to have friends to walk with on this journey of life. I sincerely appreciate the company. As we walk together, you will have things that will encourage me as well. I’m sure of it. That’s how our Father created relationships to be. None of us are alone. No matter what ‘block’ you are currently in.
